Andrea Florio is an experienced maritime professional with a career spanning over 17 years in various key roles in international waters. His extensive experience and leadership skills are well documented through his service on a variety of ships, from luxury yachts to offshore tugs and container ships.

He was educated at the Italian Academy of Navigation and has earned a wide range of STCW certifications, which have endowed him with a deep understanding of onboard dynamics and the latest navigation and safety techniques. His leadership approach is distinguished by his ability to motivate multi-ethnic crews and promote a stimulating and respectful working environment, which is essential for the success of maritime missions.

Throughout his career, which includes roles such as Captain and First Officer on ships of various sizes, Andrea has demonstrated his ability to skillfully combine technical competence with quick decision-making, crucial for navigating in diverse and sometimes challenging environments. He is fluent in both Italian and English, enhancing his capability to effectively interact with international passengers and crews.

But David's more than just his skills. He's a friendly guy, always willing to lend a hand, and his manners are impeccable. Whether it's with guests or fellow crew, he creates a positive and welcoming atmosphere. 

David's a pro at making sure everyone has a fantastic time. He speaks both Italian and English fluently, making him a valuable asset in the international yachting world. As he says himself, "Sailing the sea is about creating memories, not just navigating waters."

Nestled along the Bay of Naples, Pozzuoli is a coastal town in southern Italy that seamlessly intertwines history, charm, and Mediterranean allure. This ancient port, once a bustling Roman city, invites visitors to wander through its well-preserved archaeological sites, including the impressive Flavian Amphitheatre and the Temple of Serapis. The town's waterfront exudes a timeless elegance, lined with colorful buildings, seafood trattorias, and panoramic views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Pozzuoli, with its historic resonance and contemporary vibrancy, offers a delightful escape on the picturesque shores of Campania.

Passing through the Faraglioni Rocks, we will head towards Amalfi coast where high mountains, with particular colors, overlook the bays of Nerano, Positano and Amalfi. After a sail of 8,5nm, you will swim in the deep water of Li Galli. Li Galli islands, the three rocky and lonely islands (Gallo Lungo, Castelluccio and Rotonda) located a few miles from the beach of Positano, mirror themselves in the limpid sea facing the pearl of the Amalfi coast. According to old legends, they were inhabited by the sirenes who seduced sailors with their melodious voice: they lost control of their ships that inevitably crashed on the rocks of the islands (this is a clear transposition in a mythological key of the dangers during the navigation).

Nestled along the dramatic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast, the town of Amalfi beckons with its timeless beauty and rich maritime history. Explore the narrow alleyways and vibrant piazzas, where pastel-hued buildings cascade down the cliffs to meet the azure Tyrrhenian Sea. Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a blend of medieval charm and coastal allure. Indulge in local delicacies at seaside trattorias, wander through lemon-scented gardens, and soak in the sun at its pebbled beaches. La Dolce Vita on the Italian Riviera

After the check-in on board in Pozzuoli, we will sail for only 06nm arriving in Corricella Bay in Procida. The bay is famous for its village with houses built on top of each other and side by side forming a block of different colours. The village is known to be a cheerful place and offers a breathtaking view, especially when the sun is shining on
the coloured houses. No cars there. It is possible to enjoy an aperitive or dinner or walk to the main village only by
using stairways and snaking passages, to Terra Murata or Casale Vascello. Dinner on board and night at the anchor in the bay.

In the morning, take a last swim in Sorrento Bay or walk through the town. In the early afternoon, route to the base in Pozzuoli passing along Naples coast and admiring the city of Naples by the sea with its Castel dell’Ovo, the Posillipo hill and the Nisida Island. Night in Pozzuoli Marina.

In the morning, we set sail for 19 nm from Ischia to Capri. Get to know the island’s Faraglioni Rocks, visit the Blue Grotto and watch the amazing colour of the water as the sunlight hits the caves. Tour the island, passing close to the famous Faro and stop to enjoy the ambience at Marina Piccola. By landing on the most famous concrete pier in the world, do not forget to visit Capri village and its narrow streets full of shops, La Piazzetta, Via Tragara, Via Camerelle etc. Every day, famous people from all over the world land on this pier with their maxi yachts.

A Mediterranean paradise: the enchanting port of Capri

In the morning we suggest taking a bus from Amalfi to Ravello. Perched on a rocky outcrop, at 365 meters high, Ravello is set right in the middle of the Amalfi coast, overlooking the whole Gulf of Salerno. It is one of the most popular destinations of the Divine Coast, due to the irresistible fascination and fame that made it famous in the world, a perfect combination of art and music to deserve the acknowledgement as cultural heritage of UNESCO and the appellative of City of Music. Villa Rufolo, Villa Cimbrone, Villa Rondinaia and the famous Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium will enchant you. In the early afternoon, we will head to Sorrento, leaving the Amalfi coast and entering the Sorrento Coast. It’s 18 nm from Amalfi to Sorrento, where you can admire fantastic landscapes and swim in beautiful bays (Nerano Bay or Marina di Puolo). Night in Sorrento Bay and visiting the village by night.

Immerse yourself in the rich culture and culinary traditions of Sorrento, a charming town perched on a cliff overlooking the Bay of Naples. Sample local specialties like limoncello and fresh seafood, and explore the town's historic centre with its narrow streets and colourful architecture.

Where History, Culture, and Beauty Meet

As the journey draws to a close, the final day brings you back to the charming coastal town of Pozzuoli. Following a leisurely breakfast, disembarkation in Pozzuoli marks the end of your coastal odyssey. Take a moment to savour the lingering sea breeze, the echoes of ancient history, and the camaraderie forged at sea. After a dip in the sea and a typical Procidanian breakfast (lingue al limone), we head to Ischia, the largest island in the bay of Naples and a popular coastal destination, passing close to Vivara, which is connected to Procida by a bridge. This island is home to a nature reserve with rare
plants, rabbits and birds. After a sailing of 8nm, we will arrive at Sant’Angelo bay and Maronti Beach. Certainly, the bay is amazing but don’t miss visiting the small fashionable village or Le Fumarole beach can easily be accessed using a small path from the heart of this village. Around 16:00 / 04:00 pm the catamaran will move to a bay close to Ischia Ponte (4nm from Sant’Angelo). Ischia Ponte is famous for its medieval castle that overlooks the bay below (Castello Aragonese). A boat dinner under the castle and a walk among the shops in Ischia Ponte will be an unforgettable experience.

After breakfast head to Amalfi ( 6nm from Positano), passing close to Praiano and Conca dei Marini. Shortstop visiting the amazing Furore Fijord, a deep rift into the rock at the mouth of a steep valley that falls into the sea, which retains a small beach with a tiny and picturesque fishing village. Here among the picturesque "Monazzeni" began the stormy relationship between Roberto Rossellini and actress Anna Magnani also known as "Nannarella" during the filming of "L'Amore". The houses, today inhabited have been transformed into an interesting Eco-museum. The fjord is overridden by a bridge suspended at 30 meters high, along which runs the main coast road. Here, on the first Sunday in July, takes place a high diving championship. Just behind Capo Conca, we’ll be in Amalfi. Amalfi (UNESCO World Heritage Site), one of the four Italian republics, is full of history and rich in amazing ancient buildings and museums.
